Notes on Website Maintenance

The website is built as a static site using Jekyll. All pages are written in Markdown format and are converted to HTML by Jekyll. The source files are stored in this Github repository . To note, each webpage is compiled from a Markdown file.

To edit pages on this website

  1. Register for a Github account and email llinfeng@umich.edu with your Github username to ask for access;
  2. Visit the Github page for our website: https://github.com/UMBEE/umbee.github.io/ ;
  3. Pick a page and edit, or, clone the entire repository to edit locally in your favoriate text editor.
